Tsukishima Kikai Co., Ltd. and its consolidated subsidiaries (hereinafter referred to collectively as “Our Company”) recognize that protecting the information we receive from our customers (hereinafter referred to as “Personal Information”) properly is our important responsibility. We handle all personal information in accordance with the basic policy stipulated below (hereinafter referred to as “the Basic Policy”).

  1. 1Acquisition of Personal Information
    Our Company shall obtain Personal Information needed for our businesses in accordance with the Basic Policy for engineering environmental and industrial plants, and for business activities such as the development, design, production, and construction of various kinds of equipment.
    When asking for Personal Information, we shall specify and state the purpose of use, and obtain customer consent. We will handle all information in accordance with the purpose of use. When Personal Information is consigned to us, we shall use the Personal Information within the scope of the consignment contract.
    When receiving Personal Information from a third party and obtaining Personal Information that has been published, we shall confirm the purpose of use, as well as whether customer consent has been obtained. If such consent has not been obtained, we shall obtain consent from the costumer.
  2. 2Management of Personal Information
    Our Company shall establish a compliance program to handle Personal Information and thoroughly implement the compliance program among our employees under the supervision of chief privacy officers in order to protect Personal Information. We shall audit and review the compliance program more than once a year in order to continuously improve the program.
    In addition to conducting regular audits, we shall promptly address problems detected in the compliance program.
    We shall require employees, including temporary and loaned employees, to adhere to the compliance program and to immediately report detected problems or accidents.
    We shall implement preventative and corrective measures to address risks, including unauthorized access to Personal Information, and the loss, destruction, falsification and leakage of Personal Information, in order to consistently work toward improving Personal Information protection.
  3. 3Compliance of Laws and Regulations
    Our Company shall comply with laws concerning the protection of Personal Information, other legal regulations, and guidelines that apply to Personal Information. In addition, we shall treat Personal Information properly in accordance with the generally accepted practices of handling of Personal Information.
  4. 4Use of Personal Information
    Our Company shall handle Personal Information in accordance with the stated purpose of use. When changing the purposes of use, we shall obtain customer consent. In addition, we shall create a system which limits those who handle Personal Information based on business need and prevents the unnecessary use of such information.
  5. 5Consignment
    Prior to commissioning any other party to handle our customer's Personal Information, Our Company shall notify customers of the matter and obtain consent. At that time, if we do not notify customers of the names of these parties, Our Company shall take responsibility for managing the parties which we have commissioned.
    In addition, we shall make a contract with these parties which will obligate them to the same rigorous level of Personal Information management as Our Company.
  6. 6Provision of Personal Information to Third Parties
    Our Company shall not provide Personal Information to any third party, except for the following cases:
    1. When Our Company obtains customer consent beforehand
    2. When Our Company is required to provide Personal Information to third parties by laws concerning the protection of Personal Information and other related legal regulations.
    3. When Our Company, within the scope required to achieve the purpose of use, discloses Personal Information to third parties with which we have signed a nondisclosure contract beforehand to commission the handling of Personal Information
    4. When Our Company provides Personal Information to our group companies
    5. When sharing Personal Information is considered to be essential for the benefit of the public
  7. 7Disclosure, Revision, and Deletion of Personal Information
    Our Company shall manage the disclosure, revision, and deletion of Personal Information within rational periods and scopes.
  8. 8Shared Use of Personal Information
    Our Company shall share Personal Information with our group companies.
